CREATING MORE INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES - ASRC is our new charity partner this year!

Today we want to extend a warm welcome to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) who will join Urban Seed as our two charity partners! All profits from every event held here are redistributed to these two charities as well as supporting Kinfolk's inclusive volunteer program. You can vote for ASRC by dropping a coffee bean into one of the two jars you will find when you attend an event here.

Let us introduce you to these wonderful organisations that we are lucky enough to work with to create more inclusive communities!

ASRC

Since 2001 ASRC has supported over 10,000 people seeking asylum and we are proud to be contributing to their ongoing work. Their mission is to:

• Protect people seeking asylum from persecution and destitution

• Support well-being and dignity

• Empower people and enable self-determination

ASRC is doing some really incredible work right now - including the Food Justice Truck - which we are excited to be supporting.

Urban Seed

Urban Seed is remaining as a charity partner this year. We are particularly fond of their Credo Café program which creates a place for feeding and supporting people who are distressed or experiencing poverty mainly as a result of experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental illness and isolation. Our donations help Credo to offer 2 community meals a week, men’s and women’s programs and street outreach programs.

Kinfolk

The volunteer program at Kinfolk is an essential part of our operation and provides roles for both the most generous and most vulnerable in our community. The open door policy embraces people from all walks of life and avoids tokenising their experiences, offering everyone a platform to build their confidence and personal goals.

Whether you are holding a networking night, creative event, corporate meeting, workshop or presentation, your event can make a difference.
